"These are two high-quality talented young men who impressed us on so many levels. Their musicianship was outstanding, but we also enjoyed them outside the concert hall. They are both bright, articulate, and a lot of fun....We filled the house...we were expecting wonderful-and we got it....blown away by Jason's playing...a great concert and a great day overall for the series." (Judy Evans, Cincinnati OH, presenter)

"Stellar...A performance of this calibre could only have been accomplished by conscientious artists who have devoted their lives to mastering their respective instruments....the results of their collaboration are outstanding. Several weeks later I continue to receive compliments from members of the audience who were deeply impressed by their artistry, technique, and the spirit of collaboration and conviviality which was so evident in their performance." (David J. Hughes, St. Mary Church, Norwalk CT, presenter)

"Two world-class musicians who have joined forces as the acclaimed New York Piano Organ Duo...Two great tastes that taste great together."
(River Cities Reader, Davenport IA)

New York
Organ & Piano Duo

Since its formation in 2006 the New York Piano-Organ Duo has concertized in Canada and the United States, including such well-known venues as Ontario's Elora and Colours of Music Festivals, Cincinnati's Hyde Park United Methodist Church, the Canadian University College in Alberta, and Finney Chapel at Oberlin College.  Audiences have been delighted by the originality of the sounds and compositions for this ensemble, the effectiveness of their own transcription of Ravel's Mother Goose Suite, and the musical excitement generated by organist Daniel Sullivan and pianist Jason Cutmore on stage.

The New York Piano-Organ Duo is dedicated to performing the wide-ranging repertoire written for this unique combination of instruments.  This music includes works by living composers as well as the great 19th and 20th century masters (such as Franck and Langlais), duo-keyboard pieces from the 18th century, and Baroque concertos.  They also endeavor to expand the piano-organ repertoire through transcriptions of other concert works, and through commissioning projects.

Colleagues and friends since their time as undergraduate students at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Jason and Daniel named the duo after the city in which it was formed.
