Benjamin Sheen
Benjamin Sheen
Hailed as a ‘brilliant organist’ (New York Times), Benjamin Sheen is one of Britain’s brightest young organists of his generation, having been named the winner of the Pierre S. DuPont First Prize at the inaugural Longwood Gardens International Organ Competition in June 2013. In that same year he was also named second prize winner and the Jon Laukvik Prize winner of the 50th St. Albans Festival and International Organ Competition. With a pedigree that includes being a chorister at St. Paul’s Cathedral, London, an organ scholar at Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford, and a graduate of the Juilliard School of Music, he brings a vast musical upbringing, insight, and maturity to his performances of the standard organ repertoire as well as in the area of orchestral transcriptions. He is the Associate Organist at the famed St. Thomas Church, Fifth Avenue, in New York City. Upcoming Recitals
